Welcome

Welcome to the home page of CBIG, the Children’s Book Illustrators Group! Based in New York City, our members are illustrators and author-illustrators who create high-quality work for children’s publishing and media. Browse our member portfolios below, learn about CBIG, check out our published books and new-book announcements, and read our blog.

A bunch of CBIG members will be part of the 2013 BOOKEXPO AMERICA‘s CHILDREN’S BOOK ART SILENT AUCTION, Wed. May 29 from 6-8 pm at the Javits Center in NYC. Put on by the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression, this important event raises money to fight book censorship. Preview the art here!  There will be a holiday auction and online auction in addition to the silent auction. Read about Banned Books Week here. This is a great chance to buy original art and prints for a great cause! Some will be in the online auction May 18-24th.

Visit our past shows right on this site. There are PDF catalogues of our Dragons and Magic  and our Aesop’s Fables, and info and pics of our very successful recent gallery show, Charles Dickens. During our shows, members lead fun family art workshops and other events, all open to the public.  See images of our highly successful exhibition MOTHER GOOSE REIMAGINED at Flinn Gallery in Greenwich, CT on our blog. Read interviews with the artists and learn more about our shows on our exhibitions blog.

We’re delighted to take on new illustration assignments. Our members’ work spans just about every imaginable style and media. Contact the individual artist to inquire. To contact an artist, click on an image below to go to the artist’s profile page, where you will find email addresses and links.
