Barbara Mason Rast is an artist whose interest in Illustration began early, at about the age of six.
The works of Maxfield Parrish, Arthur Szyk, Jessie Wilcox Smith and others
helped spark her endeavors to create realism with magical elements in her own work.
She has received training in Commercial Art, Portrait painting, Still life, and Illustration.
She is a member of CBIG SCBWI and LICWI groups, is a published Illustrator and is
both Writer and Illustrator of several works-in-progress.
The main objective in her visual art and writing is to convey a sense of beauty and
harmony, humor and phantasmagoria.
