Illustrator. Storyteller. Lover of the arts. Dreamer at heart.
Sybil grew up in a very boring suburb outside NYC with four siblings and no dog. The unfortunate boringness led her imagination rampant. Always curious, with a love for making up stories and a bit of a prankster, has proved to be the perfect combo for a captivating storyteller.
Drawn to expressive visual stories, Sybil spent her childhood nurturing the love of art, and creating. She was always making something, from teaching herself to sew and crochet to gluing a whole town of “heart people” to the walls of her room (which was beloved by all…excluding her parents). The excitement, energy, and wonder that surrounds creating has always been a staple in Sybil’s life and is evident in her expressive work.
Fast forward a few years, Sybil earned her degree in Illustration from FIT, and a short time later she met her husband on a whim voyage overseas. She now resides in a suburb outside New York (that is not boring) with her husband and two adventurous, and yes, mischievous little girls. She spends her days building forts, conjuring up amusing stories, and creating magical whimsical art. Still no dog.
